DESCRIPTION

A ministry for men, women, and their families who struggle with substance abuse. Currently we have one transition home for women and one for men. These homes are sober living homes for people who  have recently been to treatment and are in need of a safe place to live.

OUR PURPOSE

The purpose of this institution is to minister through members of the body of Christ to men, women, youth and children whose lives are broken, hopeless and seemingly in despair and to provide to them hope and deliverance by offering a safe place to heal from their brokenness.  This ministry is accomplished through children of God who themselves have been previously delivered from similar hopeless conditions and who can witness to God's kindness, tolerance, patience, and restoration to a better life.  By extending to our participants the same love and support that we ourselves needed to turn from our sin, the body of Christ will have the opportunity to accept, equip, and grow them to Christ-like maturity as part of the fellowship of believers in God's church.  Through Biblical instruction, personal testimonies and provision of physical needs, including food and shelter, it is our goal to produce changed lives, strong believers and reunited families who will in turn minister to others b y virtue of their own restoration through Christ.

GENERAL INFORMATION

We are a non-profit 501(c) 3 organization and are governed by a Board of Directors.

Our program is based on the Word of God and a personal relationship with Him. We are a non-denominational Christian organization. Our doctrine is built on God’s Word as it is presented in the Bible. We believe it to be inspired, as well as infallible. It is our experience that embracing this truth is a required element, not just for recovery, but for living a whole and meaningful life. By making available the power of God to our clients, they will be able to apply the Biblical principles they learn in their recovery process. By encouraging them in their personal relationship with Jesus Christ, the recovering person is able to obtain and maintain a lifestyle of sobriety.

While the courts, local social agencies, family, friends doctors or former residents may refer clients, each person admitted to this facility does so by their own free will and may leave at any time. There is no charge to our clients. All cost is met by personal donations to the Arms of Mercy, Inc. Thanks be to God.

Our office is located at 3031 Highway 1 South in Greenville, Mississippi.
